Artificial Turf & Sod

A finished lawn is only as good as what is underneath it.

We build artificial turf and natural sod systems around proper excavation, drainage, grading, compaction, clean seam work, and a finished surface made to perform.

Built from the base up.

More than green on top

The preparation determines the result.

A beautiful lawn can fail quickly when water has nowhere to go, the soil settles unevenly, or the turf is stretched over a weak base. We correct the grade first and build every layer for drainage, stability, and a clean finished appearance.

Drainage firstWe account for runoff and low areas before the finished surface goes down.
Compacted in liftsThe base is placed and compacted evenly to reduce movement, soft spots, and settling.
Seams built to disappearGrain direction, precise cutting, S-shaped seam layouts, and secure bonding work together.
Finished and groomedEdges, infill, fibers, and transitions are checked before we call the installation complete.

Our artificial turf process

Every layer has a job.

We do not cover over problems. We build the system in order, verify each stage, and finish the details that make the lawn look natural.

01

Evaluate the site and water movement

We review access, elevations, runoff, existing irrigation, soil conditions, and how the lawn connects to concrete, stone, fencing, beds, and drains.

02

Excavate and establish the grade

Unsuitable soil, sod, roots, and debris are removed to the depth the system requires. We shape the subgrade so water moves toward the planned drainage path instead of collecting under the turf.

03

Install drainage and the aggregate base

Where the property calls for it, drainage is installed before the base. Aggregate is then placed in controlled lifts, graded, moistened as needed, and compacted into a stable surface.

04

Fine-grade and compact the surface

We remove ridges and soft areas, establish smooth transitions, and compact the final grade. This is what helps the finished lawn stay even under foot traffic and Texas weather.

05
The detail people notice later

Lay out the turf and build clean S-cut seams

Every roll is positioned with the turf blades running in the same direction. Where multiple pieces meet, we trim the backing precisely and use a controlled S-shaped seam layout when the area allows. The irregular seam breaks up the long straight line that can catch the eye. Commercial seam tape and adhesive lock the backing together while the fibers stay free, tight, and aligned across the joint.

06

Cut, secure, and finish every edge

The turf is fitted cleanly around curves, utilities, hardscape, trees, and drains. Perimeters and transitions are secured so the surface stays tight without lifted edges or loose corners.

07

Apply infill and power-brush the fibers

Infill is spread evenly for ballast, blade support, and performance. We power-brush against the grain to work the material into the turf, stand the fibers up, and blend the seams into the finished lawn.

08

Inspect, clean, and walk the project

We check drainage points, edges, seams, infill coverage, transitions, and the overall appearance. The work area is cleaned and the finished installation is reviewed before turnover.

Natural sod installation

Real grass needs the same attention underneath.

Natural sod is not simply rolled over existing dirt. Soil preparation, irrigation coverage, grade, tight joints, and the first watering cycle determine how well it roots.

01

Prepare the soil

We remove weak growth and debris, correct the grade, loosen or amend the soil when needed, and create a smooth planting surface.

02

Verify irrigation and drainage

Coverage, runoff, and low areas are addressed before sod hides the system. Heads and edges are adjusted to the finished elevation.

03

Lay tight, staggered courses

Sod is installed with tight joints and staggered rows, shaped around beds and hardscape, then rolled for consistent soil contact.

04

Water and establish

We complete the initial watering and provide clear establishment guidance so the roots can knit into the prepared soil.

From groundwork to finished lawn

The finished surface matters. The preparation underneath is what makes it last.
